We are looking for Structured Trading Manager, European Gas
Be at the forefront of the trading expansion in Eastern Europe by connecting Ukraine and EU markets and bringing European market expertise to D.TRADING. We manage the entire commodity portfolio of DTEK, the largest privately held energy company in Ukraine, as well as a growing third-party gas portfolio. You must have at least 3 years hands-on experience in Central and Eastern European gas markets, strong analytical skills, and an excellent network of contacts in the wholesale gas markets in Europe.
Education/qualification
- Minimum 4 year higher education degree in a related field such as economics, finance, mathematics, or business
Required Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
MUST HAVE:
- At least 3 years verifiable track-record of delivering trading and origination P&L in Central and Eastern European gas markets
- A strong network of existing trading contacts and knowledge of all key gas players in Central and Eastern Europe
- Strong commercial analytical skills to evaluate structured trading contracts
NICE TO HAVE:
- Russian language skills a plus, but not required as long as fully proficient in English
Other Skills
- Able to effectively explain ideas and convince a diverse audience to support and approve ideas
- Able to pro-actively source and implement new contractual structures that deliver additional P&L
- Attention to detail and adherence to risk compliance at all times
Areas of responsibility
- Execution and optimization of gas hedging plans in EU markets and gas hubs
- Execution of structured trades in EU markets, including implementation of asset-backed as well as small proprietary trading strategies
- Assist in the development and expansion of trading capabilities in EU gas markets
- Sourcing and development of new structured trading opportunities in EU markets
- Development and implementation of new contractual structures connecting the Ukrainian gas portfolio with EU markets
- Development and implementation of gas storage trading structures including EU and Ukrainian gas storage
- Economic analysis of new commercial trading contracts such as storage contracts
